Most insulation materials will degrade or lose its performance over time if exposed to water, moisture and dirt. At the same time, one of the most important measures to reduce corrosion under insulation (CUI) is to keep water out of the insulation system. The outer cladding or weather protection in an insulation system is therefore a crucial part of the insulation structure, and the same can be said about the craftsmanship involved in the fabrication and installation of the cladding system.
