"We have truly established ourselves as a key player in the region," says Lisbeth Mari Randeberg, who is responsible for Beerenberg’s deliveries to Equinor and OKEA.

"It's all about the people, the collaboration with our customers, and the synergies we achieve by co-locating different disciplines. This has become a workplace with both a strong sense of well-being and great potential for growth."

From 2 to 60 – in Just a Few Years

When Beerenberg first established a presence at Forus in 2019, the office consisted of just one engineer and one planner. The rest of the operations were managed from the head office in Bergen. Today, the team at Koppholen has grown to over 60 employees, and several new colleagues are already on their way in. From here, Beerenberg manages key offshore contracts for clients such as Equinor, ConocoPhillips, Repsol, and OKEA.

In Stavanger, we have also built a specialized unit with particular expertise in late-life maintenance. We have invested significant time in simplifying, digitizing, and standardizing solutions – bringing great benefits to our customers, says Randeberg.

An important step in strengthening our deliveries has been the co-location of various professional environments. In addition to Beerenberg’s own projects, the building also houses Remotion, a company with a strong focus on technology and development.

"We are already seeing great value from the synergies created between the different disciplines. Knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams make us better equipped to meet our customers’ needs," says Nils Halvor Berge.

Berge leads maintenance deliveries to the Ekofisk field and highlights how close interaction – also physically – with customers enables faster decisions and more efficient operations.

"We’re sitting close to our customers. The project teams are integrated, which creates the best conditions for effective processes. And on top of that, it’s a fantastic work environment here, with experienced and highly skilled colleagues," he says.

A Place for Growth and Technology

Koppholen 20 has become a modern and functional workplace – and a hub for continued growth in an important region.

"We’ve recruited well, and we will continue to grow. The need for skilled resources will only increase in the years to come. With a strong professional environment, long-term contracts, and excellent collaboration with our customers, we are very well positioned for the future," says Berge.

He shares a recent example where two engineers switched projects based on competence needs – they literally packed up their laptops and walked across the hallway in opposite directions.

"That says something about the flexibility we’ve created here."

Looking Ahead

Building a strong professional environment in the Stavanger region has been key to realizing the growth Beerenberg has seen over the past few years. Executive Vice President Offshore, Ole Christian Thømt, sees further opportunities ahead.

"Beerenberg is a one-stop shop for our customers, combining technology, operational experience, and competence to solve their needs. We now have a strong competence environment located close to our customers, and we are well positioned for continued growth in the Stavanger region."
