78 New Skilled Workers in One Year
Our apprenticeship programme is part of a long-term commitment to developing professional expertise and trade competence.
Over the past year, Beerenberg and Linjebygg welcomed 78 newly qualified skilled workers through our professional development initiatives.
At the same time, 59 apprentices are currently progressing toward their own trade certificates.
Among them are the skilled workers of tomorrow, and perhaps even future technical leaders and managers.
The Most Important Learning Happens on the Job
A successful apprenticeship is about more than plans and documentation.
Much of the most valuable learning takes place in projects and everyday operations, working alongside experienced tradespeople.
Here, apprentices have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, ask questions, gain hands-on experience, and gradually take on greater responsibility.
Instructors Make a Difference
Our instructors play a vital role. They share their expertise and experience while guiding apprentices through practical work.
They help build an understanding of craftsmanship, health and safety, quality standards, and best working practices.
Strong support throughout the apprenticeship ensures that apprentices are well prepared when the time comes to complete their trade certification examination.
The Entire Team Creates the Learning Environment
At the same time, an apprentice's development is influenced by more than just their instructor.
The way apprentices are welcomed by colleagues and included in the team has a significant impact on their confidence, learning, and professional growth.
Every apprentice has an instructor, but the entire team contributes to shaping the apprenticeship experience.
Getting to Know the People Behind the Numbers
Going forward, we will introduce some of our apprentices and instructors and share their stories.
They will talk about their experiences during their apprenticeship and what they believe creates a positive learning and professional environment.
We hope these stories will also inspire more experienced tradespeople to share their knowledge and take on the role of instructor.
